Nynke Passi in River Paw Press Anthology
In May, 2022, we had the book launch of Oxygen: Parables of the Pandemic, just out from River Paw Press, edited by Kalpna Singh-Chitnis. Kalpna was our guest in our Spring ‘21 residency. The launch was celebrated online with a public reading.
MFA Program Director Nynke Passi was one of the guests of honor. Two of her poems are included in the anthology. Nynke holds a graduate degree from SF State University and has been published in CALYX, Gulf Coast, Red River Review, Poetry Breakfast, The Anthology of New England Writers, River of Earth & Sky (Blue Light Press), Carrying the Branch (Glass Lyre Press), and more. She was a finalist in the 2014 Jeffrey E. Smith Editor’s Prize of The Missouri Review. She is Associate Professor and founding faculty of MIU’s creative writing programs.
The anthology was published in March 2022. You can purchase it from River Paw Press here.
Kalpna Singh-Chitnis made this powerful trailer for the anthology, which includes accounts of the pandemic by forty-six writers and poets from the USA, the U.K., Australia, Canada, Africa, Italy, the Netherlands, Austria, India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.
