Sunita Martin (she/her) started our MFA in Spring ‘21, focusing on creative nonfiction. She’s also a graduate of our undergraduate creative writing program. She is highly accomplished at writing funny and pithy pieces about modern living that read like columns. She’s also started work on a memoir about growing up in an unusual small town in the middle of nowhere.
Sunita is currently working for the David Lynch Foundation in New York City, taking a hiatus from the MFA. We hope she will rejoin us next year to continue her studies, for we miss her and her writing is amazing! We will feature an interview with Sunita, plus some of her work, when she returns.
